The Eclipse lamp simplicity and cleverness are amazing.

Manufactured from a single plastic band rolled up on it, the structure can be manipulated to change the form and the orientation of the light. The metal arches are equipped with small plastic parts making possible to uphold the lamp in various positions.

Since 2006 the Eclipse lamp has been part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art of New York (MoMA).

”I believe that the work of a designer must be good quality, beautiful and affordable. With the Eclipse lamp I overcame the trauma of expensive design. I want design pieces to be popular.” - Mauricio Klabin.

Mauricio Klabin was a designer, photographer and mechanical engineer (1952-2000) born in Rio de Janeiro.

His work is characterized by the absence of salient angles, complex requirements or complicated instructions of use. His projects are at the same time simple and direct.

The Eclipse lamp is a revealing example of his conception of design. Mauricio Klabin also fought to impose the idea that design had to be accessible to everybody.

Objekto breaks the current orthodoxy and monotony by publishing original yet functional products which convey a great emotional aspect.

Under the inspired hands of the designers, folklore, constructivist and functionalist concepts are combined to give rise to sophisticated and innovative furniture while keeping the imagination and the poetry of the form.

Both the products and raw materials are 100% made in Europe.

A strong and wholesome relation between the designers and the publishing company, a common objective supported by complementary skills, a mutual understanding of each others is for Objekto the key to success.
