Your order confirmation implies your acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, as well as the Privacy Policy available on the website.

1. Scope

The purpose of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale is to provide all the necessary information to the customer on the types of contracts for the online purchase and sale of products and provision of services in Portugal, under the terms of Decree-Law no. 24/2014, of 14 February.

The images of the products in the online catalogue aim to show the products in the most accurate way possible. Some products may differ slightly due to the materials and manufacturing processes used. The product images are complemented with information on relevant characteristics.


4.1 Product prices are those indicated in the online catalogue. These prices already include VAT at the legal rate in force.

4.2 The prices indicated in the online catalogue may be updated. However, the price that shall apply to the sale will be the one indicated in the catalogue at the time the order is made.


5.1 The availability of each product will be indicated at checkout and subsequently in the order confirmation sent by email.

5.2 Products in stock will be delivered within 15 (fifteen) days.

5.3 Products out of stock will be delivered after the last item arrives.

5.4 Delivery of products to the Portuguese islands (Azores and Madeira) may take longer due to the constraints associated with the type of transport used.

5.5 If the indicated delivery date is altered for a justifiable reason, you will be informed of the new delivery date.


Upon completion of the purchase process, we will send you the digital invoice to the email address you provided at checkout.


7.1 AREA offers a home delivery service, with or without assembly, according to the price list available on the website.

7.2 Once the order is paid for and the items are available, AREA’s After Sales Service will schedule delivery within 15 (fifteen) days. If this is not convenient for the customer, a new date will be agreed upon between both parties.

7.3 This service does not include deliveries that imply lifting through windows or balconies, affixing on walls and ceilings or electrical installations.

7.4 In any case and before placing the order, the buyer must check the measurements of the products, as problems with them passing or fitting through doors, lifts, stairs, corridors or at the place of delivery are at their own risk.

7.5 A justifiable reason may be given for the date agreed for delivery to be altered without AREA being liable for this.

7.6 Reservation of ownership: Ownership of the product(s) will only be transferred to the buyer on the date on which the following requirements are simultaneously fulfilled:

  1. payment of the product(s) to AREA; and
  2. delivery of the products to the buyer.


8.1 In order to avoid unnecessary environmental and financial impacts resulting from the return of products that have no defects, we are fully available to provide you with all the necessary information before making your purchase.

8.2 As an online buyer, you have the right to withdraw from the sale/purchase contract within 14 (fourteen) days from the date the product is delivered to you.

8.3 For this purpose, you must communicate the free termination of the contract by sending a letter accompanied by a copy of the purchase invoice to the following address:

We will then send you a return slip to the address indicated on the purchase invoice.

8.4 The return of the product to our warehouse, accompanied by the return slip, must be made within 14 (fourteen) days of the date of receipt of the document, at the following address:

The delivery of goods to our warehouse is subject to prior booking by telephone +351 212 899 810.

8.5 Products and their packaging are considered to be in good condition if they retain all their original characteristics, specifically:

  1. do not show any signs of use;
  2. have not been assembled;
  3. are in their original packaging;
  4. keep all original labelling;
  5. are not damaged or deteriorated.

8.6 The above conditions will be checked upon delivery of the products to our warehouse.

8.7 The return of products that are not in the indicated conditions implies the loss of the right to free resolution.

8.8 The costs of returning the products will be borne by the customer.

8.9 Upon receipt and verification of the conformity of the returned items, AREA will refund the value of the purchased goods, except the amount paid for the shipping service provided, within 14 (fourteen) days.

8.10 The refund will be made by the same payment method used in the purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

8.11 The products listed in the order are sold separately, and these conditions apply to each product individually.

8.12 Exceptionally, AREA may cancel the delivery of the product(s) for a justifiable reason, in which case, it will proceed to refund the value of the cancelled product(s), and cannot be asked to pay any other amount or compensation.

8.13 Cancellation of the delivery of any product does not affect the sale of others listed in the same Order.

8.14 No exchanges or returns of food products are accepted.

8.15 If AREA is unable to deliver the products to the buyer after 6 (six) months from the date on which it made the first delivery attempt, it may dispose of the product(s) without the buyer having the right to reimbursement of the amount paid.


The statutory warranty period will apply.


10.1 If, upon receipt, you notice any non-conformity in the products delivered, you may wait for us to contact you or send us an email to

10.3 If the item in question is within the warranty period, the seller will assess whether the complaint is covered by the warranty and, if so, will repair or replace it with an identical item or a substitute of comparable value.

10.4 Variations in materials used in handmade products are not considered defects, and the seller does not guarantee that items made of natural materials (such as wood, bamboo, stone, leather, resin or similar materials) or with handmade finishes are exactly the same or that their characteristics do not change over time.

10.5 The seller is not responsible for the normal wear and tear or perishing of the items due to their use and maintenance by the buyer.

10.6 The refund of the value of the products to be returned will be made after effective delivery and through the payment method used in the purchase, unless otherwise agreed.
