The cushion "Blue Night" is a reproduction of the painting created in 1937 by Swiss-German artist Paul Klee, one of the most unique and influential figures in modern art.
Klee, born in 1879 in Münchenbuchsee, Switzerland, was one of the most influential artists of modernism, blending poetry, music, and painting into a deeply personal visual language. Although associated with movements such as Expressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism, Klee transcended categorization, creating a unique artistic universe.
During his time as a professor at the Bauhaus, Klee developed pioneering theories on color and form, which remain fundamental references in art education.
Paul Klee's work stands out for his ability to transform complex concepts into visually simple yet emotionally engaging compositions. His revolutionary exploration of colour and visual structures not only defined his era but also paved new paths for modern art, leaving a legacy that continues to challenge and inspire contemporary perspectives.

For four generations, the family firm founded in 1878 by Jules Pansu has carried on the centuries-old tradition of Gobelins and Aubusson tapestries. Pioneers in the use of Joseph Marie Jacquard's mechanical loom, they demonstrate enviable continuity, reinventing and adapting over time.
Since 2012, the Jules Pansu workshops have been considered "Living Heritage" by the French State, a mark of recognition that distinguishes French companies with craft know-how and industrial excellence.
All Jules Pansu cushions are entirely woven and manufactured in the Les Tissages de la Lys workshops located in Northern France. Made in jacquard weave, they are rich in relief and texture.
