Setareh, ‘star’ in the ancient Farsi language, was born of the idea of giving form to light.

The lamp is composed of a sphere magically suspended within a thin metal structure. The play of circular masses and trajectories generates a balanced design of gravitational dynamics.

The light from the sphere is diffused into the surrounding space, illuminating the frame. The reflections of the metal render the luminous field visible, space influenced by light, by its aura. The result is of extraordinary poetic grace.

Francesco Librizzi is an architect, born in 1977. In 2005 he founded Francesco Librizzi Studio in Milan, a design studio that develops architectural projects, interiors, design and temporary installations. Through simple structures traced in the void, his works let emerge the essential traits of space, highlighting the relationships between places, people and objects.

His non-decorative three-dimensional way of designing and looking at interior architecture has met with significant public and critical acclaim obtaining great visibility in international media and prestigious awards such as the Prix Émile Hermès (2008) and the Honorable Mention Compasso d'Oro (2014).

In 2016, the meeting with FontanaArte created the opportunity to bring into product design all the research matured by the Studio. Today, the relationship with FontanaArte continues in the role of Art Director, looking towards broader scenarios of a dialogue between public and industrial designers.

Founded in 1932 by the architect Gio Ponti and Luigi Fontana, whose desire was to create an artistic division within his leading glass manufacturing company. With the artistic inspiration of Pietro Chiesa and other exceptional directors such as Max Ingrand and Gae Aulenti, FontanaArte soon became an iconic brand.

The culmination of FontanaArte’s success is recognized by ADI - Italian Industrial Design Association - Compasso d’Oro's award. The creative atmosphere is captured in every aspect of the company's daily life: from collaboration with the biggest names in international architecture, to focusing on the project, from the long artisan tradition, to technological innovation.
