This rug is the result of the skill and dedication of specialised artisans. Hand-knotted from 90 per cent Afghan, Iranian and New Zealand wool and 10 per cent cotton, it is produced using a meticulous process called ‘Persian knotting’ in which the wool yarn is tightly woven into the weft using several knots. This traditional technique gives the carpet its thickness, giving it a unique texture, and a longer lifespan thanks to the careful construction.

New Zealand wool has an exceptional lustre, giving it a unique beauty. Afghan wool is exceptionally warm, providing high thermal comfort, while Iranian wool fibres are generally thicker, optimising thermal insulation. All have extraordinarily resistant fibres, which increases the carpet's durability. In addition, wool is known for its hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties. Cotton, on the other hand, provides strength and flexibility, preserving the shape of the carpet.
