Space Copenhagen is the designer behind the classic Moon Coffee Table; a series of organ- ic rounded tables for both domestic and public spaces.
The interplay between the beautiful solid oak table top and the smooth half – or full moon shaped base, with a beveled surface, serving as structure and ornament, creates a simple yet strong identity for the design. The result is an elegant table with clear references to traditional Danish carpentry, where the tribute of marriage between design and craftsmanship is in focus.
Established in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, Space Copenhagen is a design studio working across multiple disciplines from furniture, lighting and refined objects, to art installations, art direction and interior design for private homes, hotels and restaurants all over the world.
The ambition is to forge new paths by balancing opposites — classic and modern, industrial and organic, sculptural and minimal, light and shade. Duality and contrast. Curiosity as a fundamental human condition. The studio’s intuitive approach embodies designs that are distinctively shaped by the given circumstances, functional needs, and a fundamental interest in human behavior. It is a sense of and belief in slow aesthetic that centers quality and longevity.
Space Copenhagen has created lauded furniture pieces for some of the world’s leading manufacturers and continuously substantiates their roster of high-end interiors at an international level, following, among others, their award-winning design for 11 Howard hotel in New York and acclaimed destination restaurants Geranium and Noma in Copenhagen.

Founded by his parents in 1967 – the year that the current owner and creative director, Jacob Gubi, was born – Gubi originally focused on producing the family’s own furniture designs and trading textiles within the retail sector. Over the years, Jacob Gubi’s creative vision and courageous intuition has led Gubi to its current position in the global design scene with a handpicked edit of high-quality furniture from all over the world and collaborations with both esteemed designers and archives and contemporary emerging talents.
