The Swedish designer Jonas Wagell returns with new additions to his much-loved Sketchbook Abstracts collection.
These art prints were developed for a site-specific installation in collaboration with Danish furniture brand Wendelbo, combining their deep tones with Wagell's love of colour and organic forms.
Jonas Wagell is a Swedish architect and designer. Wagell's architecture work is perhaps most known for the prefab house concept Mini House (2007-2012), early recognized by Wallpaper* Magazine which named him one of the "world's 50 hottest young architects" shortly after graduation in 2008. Today the work is primarily focused on product and furniture design, but occasionally the studio also consults with art and design direction.
Jonas Wagell was introduced to design through an interest in graphics, print and typography and perhaps this has influenced today's work with simplistic and clear, but expressive design language. Jonas Wagell has been working with Scandinavian design brands such as Menu, Normann Copenhagen and Muuto, but also Tacchini in Italy, Design Within Reach in USA and Zaozuo in China, to name a few.
Based in Copenhagen, Paper Collective brings together designers, artists and illustrators to create limited editions of iconic and inspirational prints, becoming a leading brand in the execution of artistic prints.
With sustainability as one of its commitments, it uses only high quality materials with the FSC (Forest Management Council) mark and Nordic Swan certification, the official sustainability eco-label of the Nordic countries.
