Monumental in form, rich in material expression, and inspired by Classic architecture, the Epic Table is one of the most admired pieces in GUBI’s collection. Now, GamFratesi has tak- en the sculptural beauty of the Epic Collection into the open air, offering a refined setting for alfresco dining. The Epic Outdoor Tables are crafted from quartzite, a natural stone prized for its durability, resilience, and resistance to water and extreme temperatures.
As richly textured as the travertine editions, the Botanic Green quartzite tables each feature a unique pattern of veins and striations in black and gray, with clusters of glittering quartz crystal. Both round and elliptical versions are available, seating four and eight people, respectively.

GamFratesi Studio was established in 2006 by the Danish architect Stine Gam (born 1975) and the Italian architect Enrico Fratesi (born 1978). As a pair, they operate in symbiosis, sharing everything across their personal and professional lives. Gam takes a particular and thoughtful approach to design, while Fratesi moves more conceptually and energetically. Their design takes its creative drive from a fusion of tradition and renewal and in an experimental approach to their chosen materials and techniques.
With their diverse traditional background, they draw on the classic Danish furniture and craft tradition as well as the timeless Italian intellectual and conceptual approach. From this cross-cultural partnership, they create furniture that respectfully reflect tradition while also featuring unique embedded stories, symbols and associations, often expressed in a minimalist idiom.
This design duo has been working with Gubi since the inception of their studio and, with their own dual heritage, share Gubi’s ability to synthesize seemingly opposing ideas – the classic and the contemporary, the intellectual and the eclectic, the understated and the expressive, the manufactured and the unique.
