The size-ranging and sculpturally distinctive FUNKI Pots accentuate diverse settings. Parading a genuine facade, they stand charmingly situated indoor or outdoor.
The sculptural array is hand-welded by skilled craftspeople; minor variances in weight and color intensity solely denote the genuine creation.
Grande in size, the FUNKI Pot large can stand unaccompanied as an artistic sculpture.
Louise Roe holds a degree in fashion and concept development. Her hands-on experience in the fashion industry has made her comfortable with production processes from idea to final product. All items in Louise Roe’s collections are made from honest materials manufactured in Europe by skilled independent craftspeople who have mastered their profession throughout generations. Being fond of simple, yet detailed shapes, Louise feels at home in the spheres between early art deco, 30s Brutalism and Bauhaus minimalism.
“Concrete buildings, geometric and sculptural attributes, functionalism, but with details making all the difference, attracts me. I steer away from concentrated ornamentation and focalize light and shadow. I prefer minimal expression but without losing sight of that one detail which makes it all sing.”
Founded in 2018 in the centre of Copenhagen, the Louise Roe Gallery is a unique concept shop where art, design and hospitality converge. Here customers can immerse themselves in a world of European craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics in a distinctive setting. More than just a shop, The Gallery is a creative destination that welcomes guests to explore and engage with design in all its variety.
An integral part of the gallery, in The Roe Bar café visitors can relax, reflect on their discoveries or network with other design enthusiasts in the midst of an inviting space.
Louise believes that the strength of any organization is rooted in the bonds that connect its members, creating a sense of unity and support. On a daily basis, Louise works alongside her eldest son Emil Roe, who is the company’s brand manager and her husband Jan, who oversees logistics and commerciality. Eldest daughter and stylist Sophia Roe, also lends the company her creative insights, the dynamic mother-daughter duo recently launched their very first collaborative collection: a series of hand crafted, distinctive homewares.
“Bringing my family onboard has absolutely strengthened our brand. Whilst it’s not always smooth-sailing, I truly appreciate that these individuals know me inside out and support me always.”
