Representation of the original masterpieces of legendary architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. He thought the sunlight and moonlight filtered through leaves and branches are most beautiful. Inspired by natural and organic light, he designed the lamp, capturing the filtered glow of light.

They are composed of a series of illuminated rectangular, solid wood boxes that act like branches and leaves to provide an organic sculptural composition to this floor lamp. The boxes provide soft, patterned, indirect illumination while concealing the light sources and reducing glare. These fixtures function as complimentary interior decor both during the day and at night.

Manufactured in collaboration with Japanese craftsman, YAMAGIWA is the only authorized brand in the world outside of North America to receive permission from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to reissue these lighting fixtures.

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is one of the most legendary figures in American architecture of the twentieth century. He was recognized in 1991 by the American Institute of Architects as “the greatest American architect of all the time.” He designed more than 1,000 structures in his 70-year career.

As his masterpieces, Fallingwater and Guggenheim Museum have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As he is known for coining the term “organic architecture”, he established his architectural style, believing that architecture should be at home in nature. He sets importance on the harmonious relationship between the occupant, structure, and landscape. Prairie houses in the early 20th century and the Usonian houses after the 1930s are remarkable examples of which are emphasized by horizontal lines.

YAMAGIWA, founded in 1923, is the leading Japanese manufacturer of lighting with its Japanese precision and innovative design, by collaborating with acclaimed international designers and architects.

Founded as a wholesale distributor of electrical materials in Akihabara, Tokyo, in 1954 the company started its lighting department. 10 years later, it started its import business with the partnership of European and American lighting companies. In the same year, it expanded its domestic business targeting clientele in establishments such as museum, office, emporium and hotel as business. In the late 1960, the YAMAGIWA original collections were launched.

In 2020, it created the tagline “The Art of Lighting.”, based in a new corporate vision in which all products are made by traditional Japanese craftsmen.
