Designed for HAY by Norwegian designer Andreas Bergsaker, Chisel 29 Table is part of a timeless collection of wooden furniture with a distinctly contemporary look. Born from an appreciation for wood and its inherent properties, the table has been developed with careful attention to detail and construction. Shaped through careful craftsmanship and structural consideration, the circular tabletop is supported by a central column with characteristically bevelled edges that subtly reference the tool behind its name.

Available in different wood finishes and sizes, the table’s adaptable design makes it suitable for a range of domestic and public settings – from dining areas and kitchens to cafés and meeting spaces.

Andreas Bergsaker (b. 1990) is a Norwegian product designer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He graduated with a master degree in Product Design from Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (HiOA) in 2015. His work covers different everyday objects, designed for product longevity and generations to come.

His designs are rooted in exploration of material and shape, and referencing cultural heritage with emphasis on traditional craftsmanship, industrial production processes and tactile qualities. His work has led to exhibitions in London, Milan, New York, Oslo and Stockholm. For HAY, Andreas Bergsaker has designed Korpus Shelf and Chisel Lounge Chair.

Founded in Copenhagen in 2002, HAY was born out of a desire to make high-quality, architectural design accessible to a wider audience. Founders Rolf and Mette Hay set out to collaborate with the world’s most talented and forward-thinking contemporary designers to create pieces that are functional, beautiful, and fundamentally joyful.

HAY doesn't just look to traditional furniture design for inspiration. Their vibrant color palettes, clean structural lines, and unexpected materials are heavily influenced by the dynamism of modern fashion, the structure of architecture, and the original spirit of contemporary art.

In today’s world, the lines between our personal and professional spaces are more fluid than ever. HAY designs with this modern reality in mind. Whether it's a sleek lounge chair, a cleverly designed desk lamp, or even a beautifully minimalist toothbrush, HAY reimagines the everyday objects we interact with, infusing them with fresh energy and functional longevity.
